澳门新葡京博彩区 Receives National Honor for Excellence in Student Success

The 澳门新葡京博彩区 has been recertified as a 2023 Leader 大学 of Distinction by Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing community colleges as hubs of equity and mobility in their communities. 

The district is one of only two colleges in the ATD Network to recertify their status as a Leader 大学 of Distinction.

“I am so proud of the work the district and the colleges have done which has resulted in the recertification of this national award,” said 阿拉莫大学 Chancellor Dr. 迈克•弗洛. “This recognition is attributable to our work to increase student success metrics, while closing performance gaps among subgroups of students.”

ATD created the Leader 大学 of Distinction award in 2018 to recognize colleges that have pursued and met challenging student success goals, often earning Leader 大学 status several times. Leader 大学 of Distinction must show improvement in three or more student outcome metrics, including at least one lagging indicator such as completion or transfer with an earned baccalaureate. 

Leader 大学 of Distinction are also required to show they have reduced equity gaps in at least two metrics for at least two student groups. These requirements recognize and motivate sustained and proactive reform efforts that result in greater improvements in student success and equity.

The ATD Network is made up of 300+ colleges committed to advancing equity and supporting student success at their institutions and throughout their communities. The 澳门新葡京博彩区 has been a member of the ATD Network since 2004 and has held Leader 大学 of Distinction status since 2020.
